Benfica defender Alex Grimaldo has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for both Tottenham Hotspur and Napoli.
Grimaldo has spent almost two years with the Portuguese giants since leaving Barcelona at the start of 2016, making a total of 33 appearances in domestic and Champions League action.
However, according to Jornal de Noticias, the left-back is considering an exit from the club and that has alerted both Spurs and Napoli.
Spurs head coach Mauricio Pochettino is in a position where he must consider possible replacements for Danny Rose, who has been linked with a transfer to either Chelsea or Manchester United.
Napoli must strengthen due to a serious knee injury sustained by Faouzi Ghoulam, who will miss the rest of the season, and it leaves the possibility of an offer being made for the 22-year-old.
The report suggests that the Spaniard is valued in the region of £25m.
