Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly optimistic that Harry Kane will commit his future to the club with a new contract.
The England captain was the subject of a long-running transfer saga in 2021, having reportedly tried and failed to force a move away from the North London giants.
Manchester City and Manchester United were both reported to be considering moves for Kane, but Daniel Levy's £150m asking price deterred potential suitors.
As a result, Kane remained at Tottenham for the 2021-22 season, and he recovered from a slow start to score 17 goals and help Antonio Conte's side return to the Champions League.
The 29-year-old is still waiting for his first major trophy at club level, though, and his current deal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium expires in 2024.

Tottenham have been determined to tie Kane down to a new deal to ward off interest from other clubs, and according to 90Min, the Lilywhites remain confident of doing so.
The report claims that Conte's side want to sit down with Kane and thrash out an agreement after the World Cup in the hope of confirming his new contract in early 2023.
Tottenham are reportedly relaxed about Kane's contract situation, despite Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann and director Hasan Salihamidzic publicly declaring their interest.
Conte previously labelled comments from Bayern chiefs "disrespectful", and Kane was recently questioned on links with the Bavarian giants prior to Spurs' Champions League win over Eintracht Frankfurt.
While the 29-year-old acknowledged Bayern's standing as a "top club", he insisted that he was only worrying about his exploits for Tottenham in his pre-game press conference.

"I'm focusing on Tottenham Hotspur and trying to do my best for us. For sure Bayern are a top, top club, but all my concentration is on Tottenham and trying to win tomorrow night," Kane told reporters.
The striker has been in brilliant form for Tottenham in the Premier League so far this term, scoring 10 goals in 12 outings, but he has been unable to prevent Spurs from suffering back-to-back defeats to Manchester United and Newcastle United.
Kane's total for Tottenham now stands 259 goals and 61 assists in 402 appearances, but he is some way off Erling Braut Haaland's 17 strikes in the race for the Premier League Golden Boot.
Kane has also managed just one goal in four Champions League outings this season for Tottenham, who tackle Sporting Lisbon in Wednesday's Group D clash in North London, and victory for Conte's side would seal their place in the last 16 of the competition.
