Tottenham Hotspur's board are 'confident' that they will soon reach an agreement with Son Heung-min over a new long-term contract, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The 28-year-old enjoyed another impressive season for Spurs in 2020-21, scoring 22 goals and registering 17 assists in 51 appearances in all competitions.
Son only has two years left to run on his contract at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, though, and there has been speculation surrounding his future in recent months.
According to Romano, Spurs remain in talks with the South Korea international over a new deal, and the North London outfit are 'confident' of soon finding an agreement.
Son has scored 107 goals and registered 64 assists in 280 appearances for Tottenham since making the move from Bayer Leverkusen in 2015.
The capital giants are thought to be close to appointing Antonio Conte as their new manager, but there remains uncertainty surrounding the future of Harry Kane.
