Emmanuel Adebayor has reportedly entered into negotiations with Watford over a move to Vicarage Road.
The 31-year-old has been without a club since he was released by Tottenham Hotspur towards the end of the summer transfer window.
However, due to the fact that he still had 12 months left to run on his contract at White Hart Lane, it is believed that Spurs are still paying the Togolese frontman £100,000 a week.
According to the London Evening Standard, the North Londoners are eager to get Adebayor off their wage bill, with Watford being his most likely destination.
The report adds that while the Hornets are not prepared to pay all of the former Arsenal man's wages, they could split the sum in half with Spurs.
