Report: West Bromwich Albion want Tottenham Hotspur duo for Saido Berahino

Spurs must stump up both Aaron Lennon and Andros Townsend if they want to sign West Bromwich Albion hotshot Saido Berahino, according to reports.

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly been told by West Bromwich Albion to use Aaron Lennon and Andros Townsend as makeweights in a potential deal for Saido Berahino.

Newly-appointed Baggies boss Tony Pulis is willing to cash in on 13-goal Berahino after the 21-year-old was charged with drink-driving on Tuesday.

Spurs are thought to be leading the race for the young striker, and Pulis has demanded jet-heeled wingers Lennon and Townsend to form a new-look West Brom side, according to The Mirror.

The report goes on to claim that the duo would both become £50,000-a-week earners if a switch to the West Midlands materialises.

Lennon and Townsend have started just three Premier League games apiece this season.

Berahino, who is also thought to have courted interest from Liverpool, netted four times in Albion's demolition of Gateshead in the FA Cup at the weekend.
