Gary Mackay-Steven is passed fit to start for Dundee United in the Scottish Cup final against St Johnstone at Celtic Park.

Gary Mackay-Steven has been passed fit to start for Dundee United in this afternoon's Scottish Cup final against St Johnstone at Celtic Park.

The winger had been struggling with illness in the lead-up to the game but has recovered in time to start, unlike John Souttar, who is only fit enough for the bench.

St Johnstone, who are in their first ever Cup final, are able to select top scorer Stevie May to start in attack.

St Johnstone: Mannus, Mackay, Wright, Anderson, Millar, MacLean, Wotherspoon, Dunne, May, Easton, O'Halloran
Subs: Banks, Cregg, McDonald, Hasselbaink, Miller, Croft, Iwelumo

Dundee United: Cierzniak, Dillon, Gunning, Paton, Rankin, Armstrong, Mackay-Steven, Watson, Dow, Ciftci, Robertson
Subs: McCallum, Graham, Wilson, Gauld, Souttar, Gomis, El Alagui
