Mark Hughes is the new favourite to replace Tony Pulis as manager of Stoke City.

Mark Hughes has become the new favourite to replace Tony Pulis as manager of Stoke City.

The 49-year-old Welshman, who has been out of work since leaving Queens Park Rangers in November 2012, is as short as 7/4 at Coral to be named as the next Potters boss, while Sky Bet currently offer the best price of 2/1.

According to BBC Sport, senior figures at the Britannia Stadium believe that Hughes would be a "good fit" for the Staffordshire club.

Hughes took charge of 34 games during his reign at Loftus Road, winning eight, drawing six and losing 20.
