Peter Crouch: 'I might have to leave Stoke City'

English forward Peter Crouch concedes that he might have to leave Stoke City this month in search of regular first-team football.

Peter Crouch has admitted that he might be forced to leave Stoke City this month in search of regular first-team football.

The experienced striker scored Stoke's first in their 2-1 win over Doncaster Rovers in the third round of the FA Cup on Saturday.

However, the 34-year-old has not scored a Premier League goal this season, making just three league appearances for the Potters.

Crouch has insisted that he would rather remain at the Britannia, but wants more league football in the second half of the season.

"Ideally I'd like to stay at Stoke because I think we're a top 10 side and I'd like to be a part of that," Crouch told his club's official website. "But I've got to be realistic - I've featured hardly at all in the Premier League and that's what I want to be doing. If needs be I'll have to move on but I'd rather not.

"It's been frustrating at times when you don't feel part of the group but all you can do is work hard and get back in there - and hopefully I've done myself a bit of justice."

Crouch joined Stoke from Tottenham Hotspur in 2011 and has hit double figures in three of his four seasons with the club.
