Manchester United have made a bid of £15m for Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez, according to Spanish media reports.
The 21-year-old, who has scoring seven goals in all competitions for Diego Simeone's side this term, is also of interest to Arsenal but United are said to be leading the race for his signature.
Radio station Cope claims that Louis van Gaal's side have made contact over the deal with a view to a summer transfer, as a move in the current window "would be difficult to complete".
Niguez has been with Atletico since 2008, joining as a youth player from capital rivals Real.
