Peter Odemwingie is expected to complete a loan switch to Marseille today after Stoke City manager Mark Hughes sanctioned the move.
The 34-year-old forward moved to the Midlands side from Cardiff City in 2014 but has been used sparingly by Hughes this season, with just four substitute appearances in the Premier League.
Odemwingie has just six months remaining on his Stoke contract, with an option for a further year, but the club are thought to be relaxed about his future.
Marseille have already completed the capture of Newcastle United winger Florian Thauvin and have also lodged a bid for Swansea City striker Eder as they look to get their European push back on track.
