Report: Mark Hughes will hold contract talks with Steven N'Zonzi this week

Steven N'Zonzi will meet with Stoke City manager Mark Hughes this week to discuss his future, according to reports.

Stoke City manager Mark Hughes will reportedly meet midfielder Steven N'Zonzi this week to talk about a new contract.

The Frenchman was named as the Potters' player of the year last season, but he reportedly told the club that he wants to leave in order to play European football.

The 26-year-old has just one year left on his current deal, and he has been linked with a move to Sevilla and Leicester City.

However, The Sentinel claims that Hughes is quietly confident that he can persuade N'Zonzi to stay this week, when he meets the player for the first time since his summer holiday.

N'Zonzi joined the Staffordshire outfit in 2012.
