Bruno Labbadia admits that being in three competitions is taking its toll on his squad.

Stuttgart coach Bruno Labbadia has admitted that he does not have a large enough squad to compete for three competitions.

The German said that he hopes the occasion of facing a club with the stature of Lazio in the Europa League would be enough to motivate his players to qualify for the last 16.

"Our squad is not large enough to compete effectively in all three competitions," Bundesliga.de quotes Labbadia as saying. "Some players might need to be rested.

"We do not think that we have much of a chance. This is a very big game for us, which hopefully will drive us forward. We want to show that we can compete against a very good opponent."

The first leg kicks off on Thursday night at 6pm.
