Sunderland's Billy Jones: 'Next two games are crucial'

Sunderland defender Billy Jones feels that his side's next two Premier League matches will be critical to their success this season.

Sunderland defender Billy Jones believes that his side face a crucial two weeks in their Premier League campaign at the Stadium of Light.

The Black Cats have back-to-back home matches against Swansea City and Stoke City as they look to register their first win of the season in the top flight.

Jones told the club's official website: "We know it is a massive couple of weeks with back-to-back home games and you need to take advantage of that.

"The support is going to be there and we know the fans will be right behind us, so hopefully we can give them back-to-back wins, because if you do that in the Barclays Premier League you will soon move up that table."

Sunderland are 17th in the Premier League with four points from their opening five matches.
