Sunderland are reportedly eyeing Everton manager David Moyes to replace Martin O'Neill if he leaves at the end of the season.

Sunderland are to approach Everton boss David Moyes to take over as manager at the Black Cats should Martin O'Neill leave the club, according to a report.

The 61-year-old has been criticised for his side's slide down the Premier League and came under fire from supporters during Sunderland's 1-1 draw with Norwich City.

The Express reports that Moyes could be lured to the Stadium of Light by chairman Ellis Short under the promise of large transfer funds, something which he has been denied at the Toffees.

Sunderland are currently 15th in the Premier League and are just four points clear of the relegation zone with eight games to play this season.
