USA international Jozy Altidore has joined Premier League club Sunderland on a four-year contract.
The 23-year-old underwent a medical yesterday afternoon after the Black Cats had agreed an undisclosed fee with his Dutch team AZ Alkmaar.
He passed those tests and has since committed himself to the Stadium of Light until the summer of 2017.
Altidore, who had a loan stint with Hull City during the 2009-10 season, scored 38 times for AZ. He has become manager Paolo Di Canio's sixth signing this summer.
