Michael Laudrup feels "sorry" for Swansea City players

Michael Laudrup praises the effort of his players against Kuban Krasnodar and says that they did enough to win the game.

Michael Laudrup has said that he feels "sorry" for his players after they conceded a late equaliser against Kuban Krasnodar in the Europa League.

The Swans were leading through Wilfried Bony's goal but were unable to see the game out as Ibrahima Balde struck for the home side.

However, Laudrup says that his players did enough to win the game and praised their performance.

"We conceded a late goal again but the circumstances were completely different. In the first half we played very good football which was nice to see, it was an open game," he told BBC Sport.

"The boys are disappointed but I said to them that if we keep playing like this we will have no problems. We were much sharper today than against Cardiff and I feel sorry for the players today. They deserved to win the game but Kuban gave it their all."

Swansea play Valencia in their next Europa League match.
