Angel Rangel is expected to make an early return from an ankle injury for Swansea's match against Everton tomorrow.

Angel Rangel is expected to make a return from injury for Swansea City's Premier League match against Everton tomorrow.

The 29-year-old was initially ruled out until the New Year after suffering an ankle injury last month.

"Angel is back in the group," said Rodgers. "He has recovered really, really well. He has worked very hard with the medical and rehabilitation team in the last week or so.

"His natural fitness will bring him straight into the squad because he is a wonderfully fit player. That is a great boost for us because he has done really well so far.

"He is a natural athlete, so I would have no qualms in putting him in [against Everton] if I have to. We will assess that over the next 48 hours."

The Welsh side travel to Merseyside as they kick off their festive schedule tomorrow.
