Swansea City midfielder Leroy Fer has talked up the importance of his side's thrilling 5-4 victory over Crystal Palace at the Liberty Stadium this afternoon.
The Swans lifted themselves off the bottom of the Premier League table courtesy of their first win under Bob Bradley, ending an 11-match winless streak stretching back to the opening day of the season.
Palace looked to have snatched victory from the jaws of defeat when they recovered from 3-1 down to lead 4-3 late on, but a stoppage-time brace from Fernando Llorente sealed what Fer believes is a "deserved" three points for his side.
"We deserved it but we made it hard for ourselves. The gaffer spoke about it before the game - they are strong in set pieces attacking but we are strong as well," he told reporters.
"We got four goals - or five goals - from set pieces. Three points is massive for us and we have to keep going."
The victory was also Swansea's first at the Liberty Stadium this season.
