Swansea City midfielder Jack Cork has reportedly attracted the attention of England manager Roy Hodgson.
The Three Lions boss has been forced into looking at cover options for Jack Wilshere, who has been ruled out for another three months due to surgery on a left fibula hairline fracture.
Cork's Swansea teammate Jonjo Shelvey played in the recent victories against San Marino and Switzerland, although it is thought that Hodgson and his staff were not convinced by his performances.
Hodgson is considering alternative players, and Cork is one that could be handed a chance in the England side before Euro 2016, according to The Telegraph.
The 26-year-old has represented England at all youth levels up to the Under-21s and also played for Great Britain in the 2012 Olympics.
England face Estonia and Lithuania in their final two European Championship qualifiers next month.
