Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup has hailed striker Michu as the "bargain of the season" following their Capital One Cup win over Chelsea.
The Spaniard scored the opener as the Swans caused a major upset by beating the Blues 2-0 at Stamford Bridge in the first leg of the tournament semi-finals on Wednesday.
The strike marked Michu's 16th goal of the season since joining from Rayo Vallecano for £2m in the summer, and Laudrup is in awe of the way that the forward has successfully adapted to the Premier League.
"I would never expect a new player to come in and score so many goals, but I can't really say what expectation I had for Michu," said Laudrup.
"What he is doing in terms of goals is incredible, especially when you think he's never been a number nine. He's always been a defensive midfielder coming from deeper.
"But against Chelsea he had one chance, one goal. That's a top-class striker. You'd pay a lot of money for that."
Laudrup is also confident that Michu will stay at the Liberty Stadium at least until the end of the current campaign.
