Report: Crystal Palace eye Swansea City stalwart Ashley Williams

Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew wants to sign Swansea City defender Ashley Williams, according to reports.

Crystal Palace are reportedly weighing up a move for Swansea City defender Ashley Williams.

The 30-year-old has been ever-present for the Swans in recent years and has attracted an admirer in Palace boss Alan Pardew, according to The Mirror.

The Wales centre-back impressed for City last season, having almost joined Arsenal 12 months ago when the Gunners refused to meet Swansea's £12m valuation.

Williams, who joined the Welsh outfit from Stockport County in 2008, has missed just seven league outings for the club over the last seven seasons.

His contract expires in 2018.
