Swansea City goalkeeper Gerhard Tremmel has admitted that he knows that his performances for the club in the next month could be crucial in earning a new contract.
The 33-year-old has impressed in the absence of number one goalkeeper Michael Vorm, and the German stopper has revealed that he would like to stay at the Liberty Stadium.
Tremmel told Wales Online: "If both parties are happy then of course I'd like to stay, but it's not just up to me, it's up to the club and the manager too.
"I'm sure we will have some talks in the near future. It's not my first contract so I'm aware of the situation. I know that if I perform well in the next month then it will help me."
Tremmel signed for Swansea from Red Bull Salzburg in 2011.
