Chairman: 'Swindon Town close to signing two new players'

Swindon Town hope to bolster their squad by bringing in "a couple of players" on loan before the weekend, according to chairman Lee Power.

Swindon Town chairman Lee Power has said that he is hopeful that two new loan signings can be brought in over the coming days.

The Robins' squad has been cut in size of late due to injury problems and international call-ups.

Power remains confident that fresh faces can be recruited before the weekend, however, including an "experienced" Championship-level player.

"We're trying to bring a couple of players in on loan," he told BBC Sport. "These things take time but we are hoping to have two in for Saturday. One I'm trying to get for Saturday is an experienced lad from a team the level above and if we can get him I'll be very pleased."

Peterborough United provide the opposition this coming weekend as Swindon aim to push away from the relegation zone.
