Three Premier League clubs bid for Massimo Luongo

Three Premier League clubs are eager to sign Swindon Town midfielder Massimo Luongo, according to the club's chairman.

Swindon Town chairman Lee Power has revealed that the club have received "three substantial offers" from Premier League sides for Massimo Luongo.

The Australia international joined the Robins from Tottenham Hotspur in 2013 and he has gone on to become a key player at the County Ground.

His development has not gone unnoticed, with Power conceding that the 22-year-old could return to the top flight as early as next week.

"Something could happen this week. We have three substantial offers in from Premier League clubs and we need to sit down with Massimo and his advisors and decide what to do," The World Game quotes him as saying.

"The numbers being mentioned are around £3m, which is good money for us and we'll be pleased with that. One day he will play in the Premier League, and it might be as early as next week. We are not going to stand in the boy's way."

Aston Villa are among the clubs that have recently been credited with an interest in the midfielder.
