Sunday night's Super Lig clash between Trabzonspor and Fenerbahce had to be abandoned in the latter stages when one of the officials behind the goal was attacked by supporters that had invaded the field.
Fenerbahce led 4-0 entering the latter stages of the contest in Trabzon, but the referee called for the match to be abandoned in the 85th minute when Trabzonspor fans invaded the pitch, which led to one individual attacking official Volkan Bayarslan.
Security personnel eventually intervened, but referee Bulent Yildrim was not prepared for play to continue after sending both sets of players back to the dressing room.
Former Manchester United pair Robin van Persie and Nani were both in the Fenerbahce XI on the night.
