Didier Drogba commits to Shanghai Shenhua

Former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba vows to stay at Shanghai Shenhua next season.

Former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba has committed his long-term future to Shanghai Shenhua.

It had been suggested that the 34-year-old would depart the Chinese club after concerns over money, but he has quelled such claims.

"I hope next season I can start again from the beginning with Shenhua. Because I joined relatively late, I didn't prepare with the team early in the season, so our results were not very good," Drogba told the Shanghai Morning Post.

Drogba joined the Chinese Super League club as a free agent in the summer.
