York City goalkeeper Michael Ingham has signed a new one-year deal with the League Two club.
The 33-year-old, who arrived at Bootham Crescent in 2008, has struggled for first-team appearances this season due to the form of the on-loan Nick Pope.
However, York boss Nigel Worthington insists that Ingham did not hesitate in putting pen to paper on a fresh contract.
"He is York through and through and I am pleased to have a player of his stature and quality on board and around the football club," he told the York Press.
"He appreciates there is competition for places, accepts that is healthy and was very happy to sign the contract."
York return to league action on Friday when they make the trip to promotion rivals Oxford United.
