Video: Sports Mole's top 10 own goals

Following Marc-Andre ter Stegen's howler during USA against Germany last night, we bring you 10 of our favourite own goals.

Yesterday evening the USA and Germany played out a seven-goal thriller in Washington DC, with the hosting Americans coming out on top 4-3.

However, the game will mainly be remembered for an own goal scored by Germany goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen, who mis-controlled a pass from Benedikt Howedes and was unable to prevent the ball from nestling in the corner of the net.

That got us at Sports Mole thinking about our favourite own goals. Below are 10 that have amused us down the years, but feel free to tweet us your suggestions to @sportsmole

Chris Brass - Bury vs. Darlington

Wayne Hatswell - Forest Green Rovers vs. Morecambe

Festus Baise - Citizen AA v Sun Hei

Jurgen Sierens - Anderlecht vs. Roeselare

Tony Popovic - Portsmouth vs. Crystal Palace

Jamie Pollock - Manchester City vs. Queens Park Rangers

Matias Appelt - Nacional vs. Progreso

Pavol Durica - FC Fehervar v Debrecen DVSC

Peter Enckleman - Birmingham City vs. Aston Villa
