Gareth Bale: 'Wales players still have more to give'

Wales ace Gareth Bale tells supporters to keep on dreaming of more success for the national team following their impressive showing at Euro 2016.

Gareth Bale has insisted that there is still more to come from Wales's Euro 2016 heroes as they were greeted back home to a raucous reception.

The Dragons made it to the semi-final stage of their first major competition in 58 years before being knocked out by Portugal in Lyon on Wednesday night.

Up to 200,000 fans lined the streets of Cardiff this afternoon to greet the squad, but Bale claims that he and his teammates will do all they can to make sure this is not simply a one-off occasion.

"We've definitely fulfilled our potential and I still believe we've got more to give as well," BBC Sport quotes the Real Madrid forward as saying.

"We're still quite a young team reasonably and we all still have our primes to come. Hopefully we can keep this confidence up and keep growing as a team and there's no reason why we can't achieve more."

Wales return to action in September when playing host to Moldova in their opening World Cup 2018 qualifier at the Cardiff City Stadium.
