James McClean targets first West Bromwich Albion goal

West Bromwich Albion winger James McClean admits that he is keen to score his first goal for the club since moving to The Hawthorns over the summer.

James McClean has admitted that he is keen to break his goal-scoring duck at West Bromwich Albion following his summer move to The Hawthorns.

The Republic of Ireland international has made 14 appearances since completing his move to the Baggies, but has not found the back of the net so far.

Ahead of tomorrow's match against West Ham United in the Premier League, the winger told the club's website: "I have managed to get a couple of assists but unfortunately I haven't been able to grab my first goal yet.

"I would obviously like to add goals to my game, every footballer wants to score goals. I'm delighted with how I am playing at the moment.

"If I am being honest I didn't have the best of starts and I was really disappointed with my debut when I was pulled off at half time against Manchester City. I think I have gone from strength to strength since then and hopefully I am repaying the faith the manager has shown in me by playing me every week."

McClean scored six goals with Wigan Athletic in the Championship last season.
