Jonny Evans excited by West Bromwich Albion challenge

Jonny Evans says that he is looking forward to the "fresh challenge" of playing for West Bromwich Albion, after completing his move from Manchester United.

New West Bromwich Albion signing Jonny Evans has said that he is looking forward to the challenge of playing for the club.

The 27-year-old completed his move to the Baggies earlier this evening to end his 18-year association with Manchester United.

"I hope to push the Albion up the league," Evans told the club's official website. "It's a new, fresh challenge for me. One I'm looking forward to.

"I know a few of the lads already and I spoke to a couple, who highly recommended the club."

Evans helped United to win three Premier League titles during his time at Old Trafford.
