Peter Odemwingie injury doubt for West Brom

West Bromwich Albion boss Roy Hodgson reveals that Peter Odemwingie is likely to be sidelined for Saturday's trip to Wigan Athletic with a calf injury.

West Bromwich Albion manager Roy Hodgson has revealed that Peter Odemwingie is likely to be sidelined for Saturday's trip to Wigan Athletic.

The striker, who has found the net five times in his last 10 appearances for the Baggies, is currently suffering from a calf strain.

"Peter Odemwingie is a doubt for the Wigan game. It's a calf strain. In fact, I wouldn't think he will make the game," said Hodgson.

"Peter was complaining about the problem a bit before the [Manchester] United game last week and when we came off afterwards. But it opens the door for a few people."

West Brom will be looking for their fourth win in six games when they travel to the DW Stadium on the weekend.
