Tony Pulis keen to lead West Bromwich Albion revival

New West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Pulis believes that he has arrived at The Hawthorns at the right time as he looks to keep the club in the Premier League.

West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Pulis has admitted that he can't wait to get started after replacing Alan Irvine at The Hawthorns.

Pulis has been without a club since leaving Crystal Palace at the start of the season, but after taking over a team that is just a point above the relegation zone, the experienced manager believes that he is arriving at the West Midlands outfit at the right time.

The 56-year-old told reporters: "I'm at the right club at the right time. I've got a decent record of going to places and help them turn around.

"The fact that the club only won four games at The Hawthorns during 2014 tells you that there is something wrong and something that can be sorted out.

"I've been with the players over the last couple of days and they are a decent bunch of lads, and I can't wait to get going."

West Brom next play Conference Premier side Gateshead in the FA Cup third round on Saturday.
