West Bromwich Albion centre-back Jonny Evans has insisted that he is happy at The Hawthorns despite reported interest from Leicester City.
Recent reports have suggested that the Baggies have turned down an approach from the Foxes for Evans, who was recently made club captain at Albion following the departure of former Manchester United teammate Darren Fletcher.
"The club made me aware of it as soon as it happened and they informed me that they weren't going to sell me. That was the position that was," said Evans, according to the Birmingham Mail.
When asked about whether he was happy to remain at The Hawthorns, the 29-year-old added: "Yeah, totally. I've been made club captain here this season, so unless the club turn round and say they want to sell me, nothing's changed from the last two seasons."
West Brom begin their new Premier League campaign when they welcome Bournemouth on Saturday.
