West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Pulis has laughed off suggestions that Saido Berahino's goal celebration in this afternoon's FA Cup third-round draw with Bristol City was a clue regarding his future.
Berahino came off the bench and took just four minutes to open the scoring at The Hawthorns, but City turned it around and led 2-1 before West Brom salvaged a draw deep in stoppage time.
After scoring, Berahino, who has been linked with a move away and submitted a transfer request earlier this season, ran to the touchline to shake Pulis's hand, but the Baggies boss insists it was just because of a small wager.
"Yes, I owe him some money," Pulis told reporters. "He was just grateful for taking a couple of quid off me because he'd scored. I'm pleased for Saido."
Pulis also said that he was expecting and ready for plenty more speculation in the remaining weeks of the transfer window.
