West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Pulis refuses to panic buy in transfer window

West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Pulis insists that he will not panic buy, but understands the fans' frustrations.

West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Pulis has insisted that he will not panic buy in the final four days of the summer transfer window, but understands the supporters' 'frustrations'.

The Baggies, who were recently taken over by a Chinese group, have only recruited Brendan Galloway and Matt Phillips so far.

On the pitch, West Brom have recorded a victory and a defeat in the Premier League, and they were knocked out of the EFL Cup by Northampton Town on penalties.

While Pulis can understand the fans' viewpoint, he has insisted that he will not dip into the transfer market for the sake of it.

"I'm old enough to understand that supporters get frustrated and they have a right to be when they pay good money," Goal.com quotes Pulis as saying.

"We have to push on. We need to get the right players in and move forward. I'm not going to panic and bring a load of players in for the sake of it. They have to be good enough."

The Baggies will take on Middlesbrough at The Hawthorns on Sunday.
