West Ham are just three points above the relegation spot after winning two, drawing two and losing seven of their 11 league matches this season.

The Hammers have lost three of their last four top-flight matches, including a heavy 5-0 defeat in last Sunday's home clash with WSL leaders Chelsea.

West Ham will hope for better fortunes when they face Chelsea again in next month's Women's League Cup semi-final after they secured their place in the last four with a 2-1 away win over Tottenham Hotspur in midweek, courtesy of goals from Seraina Piubel and Kirsty Smith.

They will now turn their focus back to WSL action, with the hosts looking to claim a third victory in four WSL home matches.

That may be easier than done given the fact West Ham have failed to win any of their last four meetings with Everton since they recorded a 1-0 win in September 2022.

Everton have proven to be a tough team to beat in recent league outings, having lost just one of their previous five WSL matches (W2, D2).

The Toffees rescued a point in their first outing of 2025 against Aston Villa, with Veatriki Sarri netting an 89th-minute winner to cancel out Rachel Daly's first-half opener.

After extending their unbeaten home run to three league matches, Brian Sorensen's side will now head on the road for Sunday's fixture, with the visitors looking to claim their first WSL away win of the season.

The Toffees have taken just two points from their five WSL road trips, failing to score more than one goal in any of those matches.

They will take confidence from the fact that they have won three of their last four meetings with West Ham, including a 1-0 victory in their most recent away encounter in December 2023.

Team News

The hosts are unable to call upon Kristie Mewis and Jess Ziu, while Katelin Talbert is no longer available after she completed a loan move to Aston Villa.

After making changes in midweek, West Ham boss Rehanne Skinner could recall Amber Tysiak, Shelina Zadorsky, Katrina Gorry and Viviane Asseyi.

Shekiera Martinez could be given the chance to make her first WSL start after featuring as a half-time substitute against Chelsea and playing the duration of Wednesday's quarter-final win over Spurs.

As for the visitors, they remain without the services of long-term absentees Inma Gabbaro, Aurora Galli and Kenzie Weir.

Elise Stenevik and Karen Holmgaard are making progress, but it seems unlikely that they will be ready for Sunday's away fixture.

Kelly Gago is pushing for her first WSL start after the winter addition came off the bench to play over half an hour on her debut against Villa.

West Ham United Women possible starting lineup:

SM words green background

We say: West Ham United Women 1-1 Everton Women

With two points separating the two sides, we think that West Ham and Everton will produce a close-fought contest in Sunday's fixture, and we think a cagey affair could result in the spoils being shared.
