West Ham United's Alex Song: 'We deserved a point against Manchester United'

Alex Song believes that West Ham United "deserved" a point against Manchester United at the weekend, but were forced to accept defeat.

West Ham United's on-loan midfielder Alex Song believes that it was unfair on his team to have come away with nothing against Manchester United on Saturday.

The Hammers conceded two early goals, but Diafra Sakho managed to get one back for the travelling side before the break.

In the second half, West Ham had the advantage of facing a United side with just 10 men after Wayne Rooney was sent off for a high challenge on Stewart Downing.

However, after having a goal ruled offside, West Ham were forced to accept a 2-1 defeat.

"In the second half we were much better and in the end yes, we are disappointed that we went away with nothing, because what we deserved in the second half was much more, we deserved the point," Song told the club's official website.

Song is currently on loan for the season at Upton Park from Barcelona.
