Slaven Bilic has said that he has been left 'disappointed and humiliated' following West Ham United's heavy defeat to Arsenal, while also confessing that he is now beginning to "feel under pressure".
The Hammers fell to a 5-1 reverse at the London Stadium to remain in real trouble at the bottom of the Premier League table, sitting just one place and one point above the drop zone.
Bilic has seen his side win only three games all season in the top flight and none in their last five, with this latest setback leading to more groans around the East London outfit's new home, but the Croatian coach is willing to put all the blame on his own shoulders.
"My players did not go missing. It was bad. I feel disappointed. I feel humiliated and it's my responsibility," he told BBC Sport. "We have good spells in the game, but we can't do it for 90 minutes. During the game we lose composure, especially when opponents score.
"We have eight players injure and now James Collins in injured in the second minute. But I don't want this to be an excuse for tonight's result. I want to apologise to the fans and anyone to do with West Ham. We have missed Andy Carroll from the start of the season and today he came back, it's good for him. Hopefully he is going to stay fit and West Ham can only benefit.
"I feel under pressure, I put the pressure on myself. I am not happy with the display. I don't want to feel like this. So of course I am feeling pressure. But the pressure is not a problem. Things have to change. Quality is not enough. You have to be a team, you have to be stubborn."
West Ham head to Liverpool next weekend for their next league outing, before back-to-back home games against fellow strugglers Burnley and Hull City.
