Razvan Rat bemoans West Ham United bad luck

West Ham United defender Razvan Rat compares the team's bad luck with injuries to a "curse".

West Ham United full-back Razvan Rat has described the team's bad luck with injuries as a "curse".

The Hammers currently have four defenders out of action, the most recent of those being Guy Demel with concussion.

Rat now hopes that West Ham can benefit from some good fortune following Saturday's 2-0 win at Cardiff City in the Premier League.

"It's like a curse! Every game we seem to get another injury, I don't know what we can do. The players that are fit have to be strong and try to get good results," the Romanian told the club's official website.

"We have not had much luck, so let's hope that it is starting to come back to us after Saturday."

West Ham return to Premier League action this weekend when they face Newcastle United at Upton Park.
