West Ham United have yet to give up hope of signing William Carvalho from Sporting Lisbon and will table one final offer, according to a report.
The two sides are thought to be wide apart in their valuation of the Portugal international, who was made United boss Slaven Bilic's top target at the start of the summer.
Despite cooling their interest earlier this week, however, Portuguese outlet Record suggests that the Hammers are expected to test Sporting's resolve one final time before tonight's deadline.
It is claimed that the Primeira Liga outfit are still holding out for £40m, but West Ham will not go any higher than £35m.
AS Monaco have also been touted as a potential destination for Carvalho, seeing him as a possible replacement for Fabinho if he completes his proposed switch to Paris Saint-Germain.
