Emmerson Boyce plans Tottenham Hotspur upset

Wigan Athletic defender Emmerson Boyce believes that his side can pull off a surprise win over Tottenham when they meet in the Premier League this weekend.

Wigan Athletic defender Emmerson Boyce has claimed that his side can upset Tottenham Hotspur when they meet in the Premier League this weekend.

The Latics go into Saturday's game at the DW Stadium three points off safety with five games to go this season.

"Both teams need to win," Boyce told The Mirror. "There should be plenty of chances. It should be an entertaining game to watch, and hopefully that will suit us.

"If we can keep their main threats quiet and take our chances, hopefully the three points are there for us."

A goal from Ben Watson saw Wigan record a surprise 1-0 win over Spurs at White Hart Lane back in November.
