Roberto Martinez says that Wigan Athletic are not getting frustrated by their relegation battle.

Roberto Martinez has said that Wigan Athletic are not getting frustrated by their relegation battle.

The Latics have committed 357 fouls this season, joint-top of the league with Everton.

"It is not down to a lack of discipline," Martinez said.

"We want better possession than the opposition and to do that we need to work really, really hard to get the ball back.

"When you work to do that, sometimes you give free-kicks away because the pressure you are creating leads to that."

Wigan are bottom of the Premier League, two points from safety.
