Wigan are expected to finally sign a deal for Ali Al-Habsi after meeting Bolton's £4 million demand for the player.
The goalkeeper joined The Latics on loan last season, during which he was named the club's player of the year. Roberto Martinez has since made three unsuccessful offers to sign Al-Habsi, including a most recent bid of £3.7 million.
"We haven't shifted one iota, so Wigan have known since the very start where they need to get to," Bolton manager Owen Coyle told the Bolton News. "If they are edging closer, then they are only doing that because they have known what they have to do from the outset.
"If they get to a place where we're all happy then there might be some business done. Until they do that, there's nothing to discuss. If there's business to be done, then it has to be done at the level we think is fair, to us and to Ali."
