Norwegian international defender Thomas Rogne has left Wigan Athletic by mutual consent.
The 24-year-old's contract was due to run until the end of next season, but he now leaves having made just one appearance in all competitions this season.
"Thomas leaves the club with our best wishes for his future career," Latics boss Malky Mackay told the club website.
"It has been a frustrating time for him and it is clear that he needs to play matches, which we were not able to give him."
In total, Rogne made 17 appearances for Wigan since joining on a free transfer from Celtic in the summer of 2013.
