Wolfsburg chairman Francisco Javier Garcia Sanz has expressed his determination to hold on to the club's top players.
Winger Kevin de Bruyne has been strongly linked with a move elsewhere following an impressive season, but Sanz has made it clear that potential suitors face a battle for his signature.
"We want to confirm our success this season in the future and, for that, we are keeping this team together," he told Sport Bild magazine.
It was recently reported that former Chelsea player De Bruyne's representatives have held "informal" talks with Manchester City about his potential return to the Premier League.
Wolfsburg finished as runners-up in the Bundesliga last term and won the German Cup.
