Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Kenny Jackett is hopeful that his team can kick on having claimed their first three points this season against Gillingham.

Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Kenny Jackett is hoping that Saturday's 4-0 victory over Gillingham can act as a launch pad for a successful season.

Wolves picked up their first three points since dropping down into League One, and the former Milwall boss admits that he is hopeful the result can act as the foundation on which a promotion-winning season can be built upon.

He told BBC Sport: "I'm very pleased with the performance from start to finish.

"I'm happy to get my first win and for any manager coming into a new club they want to do well in home games. We should what we're capable of today and I'm very pleased.

"Looking at it now we want to build on this going forward and hopefully this will get our season up and running."

Wolves travel to Bristol City in League One next Saturday.
