Report: Stephen Ward heading for Wolverhampton Wanderers exit

Left-back Stephen Ward reportedly attracts the attention of four clubs as he edges closer to leaving Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Stephen Ward has reportedly edged closer to departing Wolverhampton Wanderers over the last few days.

The defender, who spent last season on loan with Brighton & Hove Albion, has 12 months left to run on his contract at Molineux.

However, it has been widely claimed that the 28-year-old has reached an agreement to leave the club, who were promoted back to the Championship last term.

Brighton are keen to secure the left-back's services on a permanent basis, while Middlesbrough, Sunderland and Burnley retain an interest, according to the Express & Star.

The Republic of Ireland international joined Wolves from Bohemians in 2007.
