Roger Johnson finalises loan move from Wolves to Sheffield Wednesday

Roger Johnson finalises a three-month emergency loan deal to Sheffield Wednesday from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have announced that defender Roger Johnson has joined Sheffield Wednesday on an emergency loan deal.

The 30-year-old, who had been linked with a switch to the Owls over the last few days, has agreed a three-month contract.

Wolves manager Kenny Jackett told the club's official website: "I'm pleased for Roger as it means he can go on and play some football and contribute to what is a very good club at Sheffield Wednesday.

"It was hard for him here but he is ready to play for Dave Jones's team and we wish him all the best at Sheffield."

Johnson could make his debut against Birmingham City this Saturday.
