Sebastian Vettel pleased with Ferrari debut

Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel admits that it "feels very good" to have finished on the Australian Grand Prix podium in his first race for the team.

Sebastian Vettel has said that he "feels very good" after finishing on the podium in his first race for Ferrari.

The four-time world champion, who joined the Italian side for the 2015 Formula 1 season after six years with Red Bull, finished third at the Australian Grand Prix this morning.

The German told BBC Sport: "It feels very good. You have to keep your feet on the ground. We showed good pace in testing and today we were able to turn it around.

"There is a big gap to Mercedes so it is not nice to see they are 30 seconds down the road. But we have a good car to work with.

"Mercedes are doing a good job. And Lewis deserved to win. You have to be man enough to respect that."

Reigning world champion Lewis Hamilton claimed the win ahead of his Mercedes teammate Nico Rosberg.
